Can your existing medical product or one in development help avoid the call "Houston, we have a problem"?!?
Companies with existing medical products, or those still in development, may be awarded up to $250K to augment ongoing development efforts. TRISH’s funds can be used to advance the development and help make a product viable for use in a long duration space flight (e.g. by miniaturizing, reducing power and/or packaging, simplifying use, extending shelf-life, etc.) which will also make it a more robust and successful commercial product.
Do you have a promising point-of-care medical technology in need of further development?
The NIH’s Point-of-Care Technology Research Network (POCTRN) drives the development of point-of-care technologies through collaborative efforts that merge scientific and technological capabilities with clinical need. Four new solicitations are available from the POCTRN network Centers:
Development of Point-of-Care (POC) Testing for HIV and co-morbidities for use in low- and middle-income countries
The Center for Innovation in Point of Care Technologies for HIV/AIDS at Northwestern (C-THAN )
Microsystems-based Point-of-Care Testing for Acute Emergency and Critical Care Medicine
Atlanta Center for Microsystems Engineered Point-of-Care Technologies (ACME-POCT)
